Emma Markwick

Founder

Emma is a researcher & practitioner in leadership, group facilitation, culture change & coaching.

My background is in occupational and sports psychology, executive coaching & societal change. After completing a Masters Degree in Psychology, my work took me in three distinct directions: working in professional sport with the eminent sports psychologist John Syer (Sporting BodyMind); consulting to organisations on innovation strategies, culture change and team facilitation; and projects in inner London on creating work opportunities for disadvantaged young people and young mothers. These experiences have converged and cemented a lifelong interest in both person-centred, somatic human transformation, radical collaboration and the power of ,grassroots movements to effect societal change.

I have gained further qualifications - a masters in Coaching Psychology, Gestalt-based Group Facilitation, & Systems Thinking, diplomas in nutritional & sleep therapy and most recently a masters in Core Process Psychotherapy. This blend of expertise leads me to take a unique mind-body approach in the work I do with individuals and a systemic approach to my work with organisations.

I was a Director at the Bridge Partnership for 15 years, working with many global FTSE 100 clients before setting up Emma Markwick Consulting in 2017. I have in the past 10 years taken my work to post-conflict & 3rd sector environments running projects focusing on eradicating gender-based violence, building peaceful communities post conflict and most recently on reducing gun and knife crime in London and other global cities.

I am a sister to 3 sisters and a mother to 3 daughters. I love yoga, skiing and cold water swimming.
