Team Development

Team Development – Our Approach

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

The real work of senior teams is rarely on the agenda, and they rarely struggle because they lack talent. They struggle because the real dynamics shaping how they work together are left unnamed.
We believe team performance depends on more than roles, goals and meeting rhythms. It depends on the quality of trust, truth, challenge and partnership in the room.
Developing Top Teams
EMC uses a Gestalt-based Team Transform Process©.  This means deeply understanding the team’s context, working creatively to uncover the ‘unsaid’ and providing tools to move swiftly into healthy debate and creative action.

We help senior teams:

Form
Build trust, clarity and accelerated performance in newly formed or changing teams.

Rethink
Step back from inherited ways of working and ask ‘how does this team need to be now?’

Evolve
Relinquish outdated modes of operating and shift to a more future-fit, agile and effective state.

Developing Systems
As organisations become more complex, performance depends increasingly on the ability to work across boundaries.

We help organisations build the skills of partnership across functions, geographies and stakeholder groups. This is not about slow consensus or endless alignment. It is about learning to make better decisions together, even when priorities are different and agendas are crossed.

This work helps create stronger workflows, deeper collaboration and more joined-up organisational agility.

Developing Facilitators
Coming in 2027: The Art of Facilitation.

Ultimately, facilitation mastery is about having the courage to stay with the moment — and the judgement to know what the moment needs.

EMC will be offering a hybrid development programme for experienced facilitators and forward-thinking leaders who want to work more skilfully with group dynamics, tension and change.

Participants will develop the ability to facilitate in the moment, illuminate and shift unhelpful dynamics, and create the conditions for healthier change in any group they are facilitating, leading or part of.
